This article gives simple ways to make Nori useful during your first week.
Start with real family items
You do not need to set up everything at once. Nori works best when you start with a few real plans your family already has.
- Add this week's most important events to Calendar.
- Create one chore and one routine.
- Save one recipe your family already likes.
- Plan one or two meals.
- Start a shared grocery list.
Use colors early
Give each family member a color. Nori uses these colors in places like Calendar and Tasks, which makes shared views easier to scan.
Try both task views
| View | What it is good for |
|---|---|
| Owner View | Seeing what each family member needs to do on a specific day. |
| List View | Seeing all unfinished work in one list. |
Let Nori AI handle messy input
Use Nori AI when information is in a text message, school email, screenshot, fridge photo, or quick voice note.
- Add soccer practice next Tuesday at 5 PM.
- Remind Emma to take medicine every morning.
- Plan dinners for Monday through Friday.
- Turn this recipe into a shopping list.
Invite someone else
Nori becomes more useful when another family member can see and update the same information. Invite a partner, older child, caregiver, or anyone else who helps manage the household.
Check notifications
Make sure notifications are enabled on your phone. Reminders and updates are easiest to trust when they reach the right person at the right time.
