This article explains how Tasks, Chores, and Routines work on Nori Web.
Overview
Tasks helps your family track things that need to get done. Nori Web is useful for reviewing assignments, editing task details, and planning chores and routines on a larger screen.
| Type | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Chore | A task that may have a due date, due time, reminder, and overdue state. |
| Routine | A repeated habit that appears by time of day, such as Morning, Afternoon, or Evening. Routines do not become overdue. |
Task views
| View | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Owner View | Tasks grouped by family member for a selected day. It can also show Unassigned when there are tasks with no family member. |
| List View | All relevant unfinished work in one list using the same grouping and sorting rules. |
| Calendar View | Only tasks that have a due date or due time inside the calendar range. |
How tasks are grouped
Owner View and List View use the same main groups when those items exist.
- Morning
- Afternoon
- Evening
- Chores
Routine items appear under Morning, Afternoon, or Evening.
Chores appear in the Chores group.
Create a chore on Web
- Open Tasks on Nori Web.
- Create a new task.
- Choose Chore.
- Add a title.
- Assign one or more family members, or leave it unassigned.
- Add a due date, due time, description, repeat rule, reminder, or attachment if needed.
- Save the chore.
Create a routine on Web
- Open Tasks on Nori Web.
- Create a new task.
- Choose Routine.
- Add a title.
- Assign one or more family members.
- Choose Morning, Afternoon, or Evening.
- Set the repeat rule.
- Save the routine.
Routines do not use due dates or due times. They appear on dates that match the routine's repeat rule.
Overdue and no-date tasks
- Chores with a missed due date can become overdue.
- Routines do not become overdue.
- Tasks without a due date can appear in task lists, but they do not appear in Calendar View.
- Today may show overdue tasks and no-date unfinished tasks so they are not missed.
- Future dates do not show overdue tasks.
Completing tasks
Marking a task complete syncs across Nori Web, the Nori app, and Nori Family Hub when available.
