This article explains how family sharing works on Nori Web.
Overview
Nori is organized around a family. The family is the shared space where Calendar, Tasks, Meal Plan, Recipes, Shopping Lists, Photos, Family Hub data, and AI-created items live.
A person can belong to more than one family and switch between families when that option is available.
Types of family profiles
| Type | What it means |
|---|---|
| Family member with an account | A person who can sign in and use Nori on their own device. |
| Profile-only member | A profile used for planning, such as a child, dependent, pet, or anyone who does not need a login. |
What is shared
- Calendar events
- Tasks, chores, and routines
- Meal plans
- Recipes and cookbooks
- Shopping lists
- Selected photos for Family Hub
- Family preferences
- AI-created family items
What stays personal
- Each family member signs in with their own account.
- Each profile can have its own name, avatar, and color.
- Some view settings, such as calendar filters, apply only to the current account.
Invite a family member on Web
- Open Family Setup or Family Management.
- Add a family member profile.
- Choose whether to send an invitation.
- Share an invite link or send an email invitation.
- Ask the family member to open the invite and sign in or create an account.
Removing someone
Removing a family member does not delete past items connected to that profile. Older events and tasks may still show the profile, but you will not be able to assign new items to a removed member.
