This article explains how to set up your family space from Nori Web.
Overview
A family is the shared space where your household's Nori information lives. Calendar events, tasks, meal plans, recipes, shopping lists, photos, Family Hub data, and AI-created items are organized inside a family.
Nori Web is helpful for setup because it gives you more room to type, review, and organize family details.
Before you start
- Go to heynori.com/app.
- Sign in or create a Nori account.
- If you are joining a family, keep your invite link or invite code nearby.
- If you are setting up a new family, decide who you want to invite first.
Create or join a family

| Create a family | You are setting up Nori for your household for the first time. |
| Join a family | Another family member already created the family and sent you an invite. |
Add family members
- Open Family Setup or Family Management on Nori Web.
- Add a family member profile.
- Enter the family member's name.
- Choose a color for that family member.
- Add an avatar or birthday if you want.
- Choose whether to invite them to create their own account or keep them as a profile-only member.
A family member's color appears in shared areas like Calendar and Tasks, so choose colors that are easy to tell apart.
Invite family members
You can invite a family member by sharing a link or sending an email invitation. These are two different invitation options, so you only need to choose one.
- If the invite is pending, resend it from that family member's profile.
- If the invite expires, send a new invitation.
- If the family member already has a Nori account, they should sign in with that account before joining.
Add family infos
Family info includes allergens, which help Nori make better meal suggestions and AI responses. You can find this section at the bottom of the Family Setup page.
