This article explains how Parental Controls help protect sensitive actions on Nori Family Hub.
What Parental Controls Do
Parental Controls use a 4-digit PIN to protect selected actions on the shared device.
- Edit
- Delete
- Complete tasks
- Unmute microphone
Reset device and Parental Controls settings are always protected when Parental Controls are on.
Set Up Parental Controls
- Open Settings.
- Open Permissions.
- Choose Parental controls.
- Turn on Parental Controls.
- Create a 4-digit PIN.
- Enter the PIN again to confirm it.
- Choose which actions require PIN verification.
- Choose the PIN-free window.
- Save your changes.
The default PIN-free window is 15 minutes. The range is 0 to 30 minutes. If set to 0 minutes, a PIN is required every time a protected action is used.
If You Forget the PIN
Use the Nori app to reset Parental Controls. Only the Family Owner can reset the PIN from the app.
After reset, Parental Controls are turned off on the device. You can set them up again with a new PIN.
AI and Protected Actions
If Nori AI tries to perform a protected action, the device asks for the PIN on screen before continuing. If the PIN window times out, the protected action is not completed.
