Shopping List helps your family keep grocery items organized on Nori Family Hub, mark items as purchased, and manage lists for different stores or needs.

Overview

Shopping Lists are shared across your family. On Nori Family Hub, you can see one or more lists at a time, such as Default, Walmart, or Costco.

Each list is grouped by category, such as produce, beverages, or snacks. Each list also shows how many items are still left to buy.

Part of Shopping List	What it means
List	A separate shopping list, such as Default or a store-specific list.
Category	A group inside a list that helps you scan items faster.
Item	A thing to buy. Items can include a name, quantity, unit, category, and icon.
Purchased item	An item you have marked as bought. It moves down after a short delay.

Nori may suggest a category or icon automatically. If you type a quantity and unit, such as 2 lb apples, Nori may separate the item name, quantity, and unit when possible.

How Items Are Organized

Items with the same name and same unit in the same list may merge.
The same item can appear separately in different lists.
If an item has a quantity but no unit, it is kept separate from items with units.
If a quantity is missing or cleared, Shopping List does not show the quantity or unit.
Items added from Recipes, Meal Plan, or Nori AI may go to the Default list unless you choose or name another list.

Steps

On the Nori device

Add an item

Tap the add button.
Enter the item name.
Add a quantity and unit if needed.
Choose a category or list if you want to place the item somewhere specific.
If you do not see the save action while the keyboard is open, close the keyboard first.
Tap the Add to save the item.

Open, edit, or delete an item

Tap the item outside the check icon.
Review the item preview.
Choose Edit to update the item name, quantity, unit, category, or list.

Choose the delete icon if you want to remove the item.
Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Mark an item as purchased

Tap the check icon next to the item.
After a short delay, Nori marks the item as purchased.
The item moves down in the list, and the remaining item count goes down by one.

Move an item to another list

Drag the item from one list to another list.
Drop it into the target list.
Nori places the item into the matching category in that list when possible.

Manage lists

Tap the Settings button in the upper-right corner of Shopping List.
Tap Add to create a new list.
Tap Edit List icon to rename a list.
Tap Delete icon to delete a list, then confirm the deletion.
Tap Done to save list changes.

The Default list cannot be renamed or deleted.

Clear items from a list

Tap the ... button on a list.
Choose Clear All Items to remove every item from that list.
Choose Clear Checked Items to remove only purchased items.
Confirm the action when prompted.

Add ingredients from Recipes or Meal Plan

Open the recipe you want to use.
Choose Add to Shopping List.
Review the ingredients.
Uncheck any ingredients you already have.
Choose the target list if you do not want to use Default.
Add the selected ingredients.

For Recipes, adjust servings before adding ingredients so quantities match your plan.

Add items with Nori AI

Ask Nori AI to add one or more shopping items.
Name the list if you want the items added somewhere specific.
If you do not name a list, Nori adds the items to Default.
