This article explains how Nori AI works on the Nori Family Hub and what your family needs to use Talk to Nori.
Overview
Nori Family Hub is the shared screen for your home. It helps family members see schedules, tasks, meals, shopping lists, recipes, photos, and other family information in one place.
With Nori Plus or an active eligible hardware trial, your family can also use Talk to Nori on the device. Talk to Nori lets you speak to Nori from a shared family space, such as the kitchen or living room.
Nori Plus is shared across the family. If your family starts Nori Plus from the Nori Family Hub, family members can use paid AI features in the Nori app too. If your family starts Nori Plus in the Nori app or on Nori Web, the linked Nori Family Hub gets paid access too.
Before you start
- Your Nori Family Hub needs to be set up and connected to the internet.
- The device must be linked to your family.
- Talk to Nori on the Nori Family Hub requires Nori Plus or an active eligible hardware trial.
- Nori Family Hub does not have a camera.
What you can ask Nori to help with
When AI access is available, Nori can help with family planning tasks such as:
- Checking what your family has coming up
- Adding or updating calendar events
- Creating tasks, chores, or routines
- Planning meals
- Adding recipe ingredients to the shopping list
- Adding items to the shopping list by voice
If your family does not have Nori Plus
You can still use core Nori Family Hub features for shared family information.
If you try to use Talk to Nori without Nori Plus or an active eligible hardware trial, the device may show an upgrade prompt. The device should not continue a normal AI or voice request as if paid access were active.
Hardware trials
Some Nori Family Hub purchases may include a hardware trial for AI features. Trial availability depends on the purchase channel or offer. If your device is eligible, you should see the trial during the hardware setup or upgrade flow.
The Nori app does not offer a separate free trial.
